Abuse

We're so, so sorry that you've had to deal with the pain of abuse. Our hearts and minds are with you. We're not saying it'll be easy to stop it or recover from it. We wouldn't lie to you. All we're saying that it isn't impossible. If you have the chance to do so, please call one of these hotlines. If you're afraid of using your home phone, stop a stranger on the street and ask to borrow theirs. Talk to someone you trust about it. This could be a friend or family member. It could also be a police officer, doctor, counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist, a trusted teacher, other family member or health worker.

Always keep in mind that none of this is your fault. You absolutely do not deserve the treatment you're receiving, and you don't have to stay quiet. Don't blame or hurt yourself because of what you're going through. Your safety is most important, and we need you here with us more than you could ever know.

You deserve so, so much more than what you're struggling with, so we sincerely hope here at Compass Movement that you find the strength and courage to tell someone about your struggles.
